Meet Carlos
Thinker. Writer. Restorer.
Carlos M. Padilla is a theologian and PhD student whose work unfolds in the sacred tensions of Christology, election, and the unscapegoating grace of God. A graduate of St. Stephen’s University (MA, Theology & Culture) and shaped by the quiet brilliance of thinkers like Karl Barth and T.F. Torrance, his writing lives at the intersection where doctrine becomes lived reality—where the faithfulness of Christ gently reorders imagination, ethics, and the way we are with one another.
His author journey began with Roar: Walking in God’s Power with Apology, a passionate early work born out of earnest pursuit. It marked the starting point of his movement from raw zeal into deeper theological inquiry—an inquiry that continues to frame his current academic research and spiritual life.
His forthcoming book, Rediscovering the Forgotten Man: The Election Without Scapegoats, grows from this horizon of grace. In it, Carlos writes toward a world where no one must be cast aside for belonging to take root, and where Christ’s faithfulness tells the truest story about every person.
Carlos finds sacrament in the ordinary rhythms of life: in study and silence, in slow neighborhood walks with his dog Lincoln, and in the unhurried evenings he shares with his wife Beth. Her gentle, steady sainthood remains one of his greatest teachers—embodying the kind of theology that can only be learned by love, presence, and shared life.
He writes not merely to inform the mind, but to help restore the imagination—to open space for a faith that is spacious, hopeful, and rooted in the reconciling Christ who refuses to scapegoat. His work invites readers to inhabit their world with humility, courage, and a renewed sense that grace is more expansive than we ever dared to believe.
“What we misdiagnose, we will mistreat.”
